The inception of Lara’s real estate career began in 2007, when she joined the sales team at Southbridge Greater Savannah Realty, where she remained until recently, working with buyers, sellers & builders. Prior to becoming a licensed Realtor®, Lara spent over 15 years in the healthcare administration field in positions at the Georgia Ear Institute & University of Nevada School of Medicine, where in these positions, she learned that a refined dedication to customer service, was the most important tool in developing a relationship with her clients & customers. When Lara is not selling or marketing real estate, you will find her ending brides down the aisle or creating custom linens in her position as an “Event Planner” at M. Livingston Events.

Lara knows first hand how “overwhelming and exciting” moving to a new city, into a new home, selling a home and new life experiences can be. But, her ability to meet a client once, and instantly pinpoint their “style” gives her the edge to make her clients home buying experience one of the most pleasurable ones of a lifetime! Lara is relentless in her efforts to provide her buyers and sellers with the attention to detail that each one deserves. She prides herself in knowing that most of her clients are from referrals. When a previous client refers you to their friends and family, you know that you have “exceeded their expectations”.

Lara loves the Savannah lifestyle and the city for all its rich history and beauty. Her extensive knowledge of the area, including schools, community organizations and charities, provides her clients with all the necessary resources that are essential in the home buying and selling process. Whether you are relocating, searching for your next home, building your “dream home” or looking for the perfect place to retire, she will provide you with the integrity, honesty and dedication that you deserve from start to finish! Lara and her family welcome you to come see why they love to call Savannah”Home.”

I fell in love with this gorgeous place the first time I set foot here nearly a decade ago. I’m a native of the Fairfield County, Connecticut area, and have lived in several other states and countries including France and Switzerland. Moving is a familiar theme in my life!

When moving here myself, I found it tough to navigate the many choices, and am happy to have settled in Long Point on Whitemarsh Island. Today my two teenage boys and I divide our time between Whitemarsh and Tybee Islands. I have sold properties on the islands and in other Savannah areas including west of the city, in neighborhoods like Southbridge, a swim, tennis, spa and golf community, and others.

When I’m not helping new clients discover what Savannah has to offer, I enjoy exploring Savannah’s wide array of outdoor offerings, as well as its restaurants, galleries, and shops. With its warm weather and friendly people, Savannah is an unbeatable place to live and learn. I can’t wait to help you and your family find your dream home here in Savannah!

In the meantime, please feel free give me a call or email me with any questions you might have about the area, schools, etc. I also invite you to visit my website to learn more about me and this fun and beautiful city we call home: www.SavannahMoves.com

Visit your financial or lending institution prior to home buying. Quickly, you’ll know the amount of mortgage you’ll receive. Be sure to get a mortgage commitment in writing. Most importantly, you’ll tell sellers that you are a serious prospect. Depending upon market conditions, a seller may lean towards an unconditional offer. You’ll have less negotiating power if you have to wait for mortgage approval.

Banks and financial institutions have developed many programs especially for home buyers, be that first-time buyers or those with equity in their homes. When you review your needs and objectives with a lending officer, you’ll be one step closer to purchasing your home.

Everyone has a picture of an ideal home. This would include all the features you not only need, but have long desired. However, when it comes time to buying a home, the desires cost more. While it’s nice to think about having a beautifully landscaped backyard, or a solarium, perhaps even some built-in appliances, these are usually considered luxury items, which can add considerably to the price of your home.

That’s why it’s a good idea to develop a needs and wants lists. With this list, begin with items you really need like adequate space, garage and number of bedrooms. For most people, basic needs should be considered first. After that, you could consider additional desires, if you can manage these benefits financially.

With such a list in your hands, you’re less likely to be caught up in the excitement of the pursuit. You’ll have a good idea of what you want, within you price range, and if you can afford those additional items.

When you’re selling your home, the price you set is a critical factor in the return you’ll receive. That’s why you need a professional evaluation from an experienced realtor. This person can provide you with an honest assessment of your home, based on several factors including:

Market conditions

Condition of your home

Repairs or improvements

Time frame

In real estate terms, market value is the price at which a particular house, in its current condition, will sell within 30 to 90 days.

If the price of your home is too high, several things could happen:

Limits buyers. Potential buyers may not view your home, because it would be out of their buying range.

Limits showings. Other salespeople may be less reluctant to view your home.

Used as leverage. Other realtors may use this home to sell against homes that are better priced.

Extended stay on the market. When a home is on the market too long, it may be perceived as defective.

Lower price. An overpriced home, still on the market beyond the average selling time, could lead a lower selling price. To sell it, you will have to reduce the price, sometimes, several times. In the end, you’ll probably get less than if it had been properly priced at the start.

Wasted time and energy. A bank appraisal is most often required to finance a home.

Realtors have known it for years – Well-kept homes, properly priced in the beginning always get you the fast sale for the best price! And that’s why you need a professional to assist you in the selling of your home.
